Vescularia dubyana, Java Moss Vescularia dubyana, Java Moss, is an Asian aquatic moss used widely in aquaria for its pleasing visual affect.Description: This plant has a typical small ferny appearance of moss and is an attractive bright green color. The plant reproduces asexually by means of division and sexually by means of spores. Environment: This plant tolerates pHs from 6.5 to 7.5. Optimum temperature ranges from 20-30°C (68-85°F).Geographic Range: East Asia. Uses: This plant is highly decorative. It is also an excellent spawning medium. Plant spawners such as tetras, some killifish and all rainbowfish will lay eggs in it.Care: This plant requires bright light and rich water. Given these it grows lushly and rapidly.
