Snails |
Snails Snails can be effective scavengers and have a place in most aquariums; but it is important to check with your state to insure that the species of your choice are allowed in your jurisdiction. Many states, especially those in the south, ban the possession of snails that are considered potentially harmful if they make it into the wild or into agricultural areas, especially rice growing regions.As a result of our move from New Mexico to Texas, where many snails are not permitted, we no longer produce or sell snails. While we no longer offer the snails listed below, we include pages for them for informational purposes for those hobbyists who live in areas where they are allowed. Where possible, we provide links to comprehensive and authoritative websites.
